Espadrilles de Mauléon Bleu Marine

Since the 19th century, Mauléon has been perpetuating the artisanal manufacture of espadrilles, using an unchanged method that gives them their unique character.

The cotton canvas, hand-cut in the workshops, is precisely sewn onto a hand-formed jute sole. This base is then consolidated by a thin layer of rubber, applied under heat to prevent delamination.

The finishing touch is edge stitching, a technique specific to this region. Discreet yet solid, it sets the Mauléon espadrille apart from industrial production.
