Espadrilles de Mauléon Fushia

In Mauléon, espadrilles are still made the old-fashioned way, in accordance with an artisanal method specific to this corner of the Basque Country.

The canvas is cut by hand, the sole shaped from jute and reinforced with vulcanized rubber. They are assembled with a characteristic flanged seam, which provides support, strength and flexibility. Faithful to the craftsmanship of the workshop, unchanged for over a century.
