The Mauléon espadrille in Mustard Yellow.
Description
In the village of Mauléon, in the heart of the Basque Country, the espadrille is much more than a shoe: it's a know-how that has been passed down for over two centuries.
Each pair is the fruit of a handcrafted process, in which the cotton canvas is cut by hand, according to size, before being sewn onto a jute rope sole. The latter is then reinforced with a thin layer of vulcanized rubber, for improved durability.
The assembly ends with a typical Mauléon edge seam, ensuring both comfort and sturdiness. A rare process, mastered by only a handful of workshops, that gives each pair its very own special cachet.
