Espadrilles de Mauléon Bordeaux
A Basque classic, revisited in a deep, elegant burgundy hue.
Description
These espadrilles are the fruit of know-how handed down since the 19th century in Mauléon, in the heart of the Basque Country, and are manufactured using the traditional machine-stitched technique specific to the region. The hand-cut burgundy canvas is mounted on a hand-molded jute sole, then reinforced with a layer of vulcanized rubber for optimum hold.
Each pair is crafted using time-honored workshop techniques: chalk tracing, band-saw cutting, edge stitching... a rare method that distinguishes Mauléon espadrilles and guarantees both solidity and comfort. The burgundy color, deep without being garish, easily accompanies summer wear or more everyday wear.
A model made to last, as pleasant to wear as it is to look at.
