Brass kiridashi knife
A small knife made in the purest Japanese tradition.
Ideal for woodworking, leatherworking and carving.
Description
The knife blade is made from Japanese Blue Steel with 1.2% carbon. This composition ensures an impressive hardness of over 62 HRC, making it an extremely sharp knife. As a result, the knife can be finely sharpened and will retain its edge longer than standard stainless steel blades.
The 7 cm handle is made of brass engraved with Japanese symbols. The knife doesn't fold, but can be closed thanks to the brass sheath, making it easy to carry on a daily basis.
The knife's lightness and 2 mm thickness make it imperceptible in a pocket, offering practical portability.
The Higonokami Kiri knife is a tribute to Japanese craftsmanship, both functional and aesthetic, that can easily be an indispensable companion for your daily adventures.
The carbon blade is not corrosion-resistant, so we recommend wiping the knife immediately after washing and avoiding contact with moisture.
The raw brass will give it a beautiful patina over time.
