This fluted tourtière with movable bottom is made in France by the oldest manufacturer specializing in pastry moulds since 1887.
Thanks to its perforated bottom, it is ideal for evacuating excess moisture from preparations and ensuring even baking of your homemade tarts, pies or quiches. The micro-perforations allow hot air to circulate in the oven and around the baking sheets, for crisp pastry to perfection, even on frozen dough.
The detachable base is also removable for easy unmolding.
This tart mould is available in 7 diameters, from 20 to 32 cm, to suit your needs.
A healthy material for rapid baking, tinplate has been used since the 13th century for its heat conduction and lightness. Environmentally-friendly, it can be recycled indefinitely. Its thickness of 0.5 mm guarantees strength and durability.
When using tinplate, always remember to butter and flour it for easy unmolding.
After use, wash with Marseille soap and a soft sponge, rather than with a harsh chemical dishwashing detergent.
Dry immediately to avoid oxidation marks and apply a thin layer of edible oil. Store in a dry place.
Over time, the tourtière will develop a black patina, a sign that the culotte is forming.
