Wooden Bremen Musicians

This little wooden figure brings together the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster in their most famous posture, that of the Bremen Musicians.
Faithful to the imagination of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, this piece is directly inspired by the 1819 edition of the tale, in which these four companions in misfortune decide to unite to conquer their freedom.

The object bears witness to the craftsmanship and tradition of German natural wood toys, where precision turning and the nobility of the material take precedence over artifice. Each animal is sculpted with a precision that immediately evokes the charm of antique toys.
