Description
A material appreciated by beginners and experienced cooks alike, for its excellent heat distribution and conservation, its immediate use and its ease of maintenance, thanks to the pre-cast base. Whether on an open fire in the open air or on the stovetop at home, natural cast-iron stoves can be adapted to any fire or hob.
First use :
Clean the cast-iron pan thoroughly with hot water before first use. Thanks to the pre-treated surface, you can use your cast-iron frying pan straight away, without needing to put the pan in the pot. Do not cook acidic foods for the first few times, as this may attack the patina, the protective layer of the cast-iron pan
Precautions for use :
- Caution: risk of burns! Cast iron can become extremely hot during use. Never allow children or pets near the cast-iron pan. Protect your hands with heat-resistant cloth, gloves or oven mitts.
- Do not pour cold liquids (such as water) onto the hot cast-iron pan, as cast-iron is a brittle material that can crack. Beware of shocks too.
- Never use corrosive products. The cast-iron pan can only be rinsed by hand in hot water. When washing with soap is necessary, Marseille soap or amild liquid is recommended. Please note that the pan must be re-greased!
