Description
This fluted tart mould with fixed base is made in France by the oldest manufacturer specializing in pastry moulds since 1887.
Made of tinplate for excellent thermal conductivity, it's a classic and a kitchen essential for evenly baking your miniature tarts, sweet or savory.
This tart mould comes in 2 diameters, 8 or 10 cm, to suit your needs.
For easier removal from the mould, they are also available with a movable base.
Tinplate
A healthy material for rapid baking, tinplate has been used since the 13th century for its heat conduction and lightness. Environmentally-friendly, it can be recycled indefinitely. Its thickness of 0.5 mm guarantees strength and durability.
When using tinplate, always remember to butter and flour it for easy unmolding.
After use, wash with Marseille soap and a soft sponge, rather than with a harsh chemical dishwashing detergent.
Dry immediately to avoid oxidation marks and apply a thin layer of edible oil. Store in a dry place.
Over time, the tourtière will develop a black patina, a sign that the culotte is forming.
