Tin-plated copper kouglof mould
A copper kouglof mold adorned with attractive motifs to enhance your pastries.
Unique piece made in Italy.
Description
Designed according to artisan methods long handed down in the Naples region, the renowned birthplace of Italian master-coppersmiths, this copper mold reflects a unique heritage. Each piece is carefully shaped by hand, then hot-tinned to ensure optimal firing.
Thanks to its thick copper walls, heat is distributed quickly and evenly, which is essential for the success of delicate preparations such as sponge cakes, flans or entremets. This precious metal has been recognized for centuries for its excellent thermal qualities.
The mold is decorated with reliefs, and fitted with a brass ring for hanging, recalling the traditions of ancient kitchens where tools were also decorative elements.
Advice on use and care
This mold is suitable for oven baking thanks to its tin-plated inner lining, designed for food use. It is not suitable for use over high heat or on a hotplate. For easy removal from the mold, remember to lightly butter and flour it before each use.
Do not use abrasive products or metal sponges. Clean by hand with lukewarm water and a soft sponge. Dry immediately and carefully to avoid any traces of moisture that could cause oxidation.
Copper naturally develops a patina over time, which does not alter its effectiveness or quality. If you wish to restore its original lustre, a special copper product will do the trick.
