Small Santoku Cherry
Santoku takes its name from the "three virtues" it embodies: working with meat, fish and vegetables with equal efficiency.
Description
Its small 22 cm size makes it an everyday knife, light in the hand and quick to grip, without sacrificing precision or cutting range.
In the kitchen, it covers a wide spectrum of gestures: slicing, mincing, chopping, crushing and decanting. Its wide, stainless steel blade also makes it possible to pick up cut food and slide it directly into the pan or dish - a detail that changes the pace of daily work.
The handle is carved from cherry wood, a French species with a fine grain and a warm hue, pleasant to hold and dense enough to balance the blade. The whole set is made in France by Nogent, a cutlery company whose expertise is built on shapes borrowed from the great traditions, including Japanese.
