Chinese checkers
A captivating strategy game where every move counts.
Description
Despite its misleading name, there's nothing Asian about this game. It originated in the USA in the late 19th century, under the name Halma, before being adapted in Germany into the star-shaped version we know today. The name "Chinese checkers" was added later by an American publisher.
Played by two to six players, the aim is to reach the opposite camp by moving a pawn each turn, before the other players.
This model takes up the essential principles of the game with simplicity: a light-colored wooden board with regular hollows giving it a star shape, accompanied by seventy colored wooden counters. Each element has been designed to be easy to handle, while at the same time creating a beautiful decorative object.
