The A is a symbol of the driver' s license, the freedom to take to the road, to go where you want, when you want. There's just one condition, apart from respecting the highway code of course: don't forget to put a magnetic A on the back of your vehicle.

How long should I keep my A?

It must be clearly visible, to indicate to other motorists that the person behind the wheel is a "young driver", still on probation. This lasts for three years, except for accompanied drivers, who are only required to carry an A for two years.
