Description
The recipe for calissons from this Provencal factory has remained the same since 1830: a mixture of candied melons and crushed almonds from Provence, placed on a sheet of unleavened bread and covered with a thin layer of royal icing.

It's said that, at the wedding of King René d'Anjou to Jeanne de Laval, a pastry chef gave the young queen a taste of his sweet almond and candied fruit creation. Known for her reserve, she smiled radiantly. "Di câlins souns", the guests would have whispered - that's cuddly.
Since then, calisson d'Aix has been a tender guest on the most beautiful wedding tables... and continues to melt hearts.
Ingredients :
Candied fruit 41% (fruit 54%: melon 96%, orange and lemon peel), glucose-fructose syrup, sugar),
almonds 30% (of which 30% from Provence), sugar, egg white 2.5%, glucose syrup, invert sugar syrup, unleavened bread (potato starch, sunflower oil), natural flavoring, bitter almond extract.
Allergens: contains almonds and egg white.
