Pack of 10 Marinier diamond-headed forged nails
Jewel-like nails to show off on doors and joinery.
Description
Forged by France's last remaining clouterie, based in Creil in the Oise region since 1888, these nails are the fruit of a century's worth of know-how and a determination to keep the traditions of yesteryear alive.
In addition to their picturesque, timeless aesthetic, forged nails are invaluable woodworking tools. They can be used to join different types of wood together to make doors, windows, hinges and locks.
These diamond-headed, blued-finish nails in aged iron or blued steel will give your furniture and joinery the charm of yesteryear.
The square shape created by forging gives them greater resistance to tearing.
The 150 mm Marinier diamond-head forged nail is sold individually.
How to use forged nails :
- Use a nail 10 mm thicker than the sum of the thicknesses to be joined.
- Pre-drill the area where the nail will be held.
- Hammer in the nail, and fold back the remaining 10 mm of the nail shank.
