Description
On an open fire in the open air or on the stove at home, cast iron stoves fit any fire and any plate.
First time use:
Clean the cast iron skillet thoroughly with hot water before first use. Thanks to the pre-treated surface, you can use your cast iron skillet right away, without having to seal it. Do not cook acidic foods the first few times, as this can attack the patina, the protective layer of the cast iron pan
Precautions for use:
- Caution, risk of burns! When in use, cast iron can become extremely hot. Therefore, never allow children or animals near the cast iron pan. Protect your hands with a heat resistant cloth or gloves or oven mitts.
- Do not pour cold liquids (such as water) onto the hot cast iron skillet, as cast iron is a brittle material that can crack. Also, beware of shocks.
- Never use corrosive products. The cast iron pan can only be rinsed by hand with hot water. When washing with soap is necessary, Marseille soap or a mild liquid is recommended. Please note that the pan must be re-greased!
