The history of the Belline oracle

The Belline oracle is a French divinatory game whose history began in the 19th century with a clairvoyant named Edmond, famous for having advised Alexandre Dumas and the Empress Eugénie, among others. Long forgotten, the game resurfaced in the 1950s when it was rediscovered in a trunk by the clairvoyant Marcel Belline, after whom it was named. Impressed by the rich symbolism and precision of the cards, Belline decided to have it published. Since then, this 53-blade oracle with its occult and esoteric designs has continued to be used for its fine, intuitive interpretation. It has become a staple of the divinatory arts in France.

How do I make a belline oracle reading?

Start by asking your question aloud, then shuffle the cards 7 times.
Cut the deck in your left hand and place the cards as follows:
- The 1st card is on the right, it defines the past.
- The 2nd card is on the left, it deals with positive points, strengths.
- The 3rd card is at the top, it deals with future events.
- The 4th card is placed at the bottom, and is the answer to your question.
- And finally, place the 5th card in the center, it evokes the summary and the meaning to be given to the draw.
