Description
Manufactured using ancestral techniques in the Naples region, the historic birthplace of Italy's greatest master copperware makers, this copper mold pays tribute to a rare savoir-faire handed down from generation to generation. Each piece is shaped by hand, then hot-tinned, ideal for firing.
Its thick copper wall ensures rapid, even heat diffusion, essential for delicate preparations such as sponge cakes, flans or entremets. This noble material has been prized for centuries for its incomparable thermal properties.
The mold is decorated with fruit motifs in relief. A brass ring is integrated into the structure to hang the mold on the wall, as was traditionally done in old-fashioned kitchens.
Use & care
This mold is designed for food use, thanks to its tinned interior. It is suitable for oven baking, but should not be used over direct heat. We recommend that you lightly butter and flour the mold before pouring in the dough, to ensure optimal release from the mold.
After use, clean by hand with lukewarm water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive products. Dry carefully to avoid any traces of oxidation.
Over time, copper will take on a natural patina, which in no way alters its qualities. A simple wipe down with a special copper lotion will restore the shine you desire.
