Centennial antesite
An "anti-thirst" drink according to its name, derived from Latin. Easily transportable, the small bottle of Antesite was adopted for a long time by the railwaymen to quench their thirst. With 13 cl of Antesite you can flavour 60 liters of drink. This is the secret of this potion invented in 1898 by Noël Perrot-Berton, a pharmacist from Voiron who was passionate about the extraction of plants and their medicinal virtues.
Description
For over a century its basic recipe has not changed. This natural sweetener is a concentrate of licorice root and star anise in its original flavored version. No added sugar. With healing, soothing, anti-inflammatory properties. For many generations, it is the memory of a few brown drops poured into water, of a thirst-quenching drink, of tea parties at grandparents' or summer camps. A madeleine of Proust.
