Nougats Lou Pitchounet x15
Go for Lou Pitchounet nougats, an emblematic Provencal sweet, traditionally made in Allauch for 5 generations by a historic confectioners' house.
Description
The emblematic confection of Provence and the thirteen desserts of Christmas, nougat-making here is two hundred years old. They have been handcrafted in Allauch to the same ancestral recipe for 5 generations. A softer, more refined version than nougat bars, and smaller too, hence the name "pitchounet" meaning "little one" in Provencal.
They're made from a delicate blend of honey, sugar and whole almonds, sublimated by egg whites and cooked in a bain-marie, giving them a soft texture and an immaculate white color. Each nougat is carefully placed between two thin sheets of wafer, for a perfect balance of melt-in-the-mouth and crunchy texture.
With their light texture and incomparable intensity of flavor in the mouth, these mini nougats are ideal to accompany coffee, to share or to give as gifts.
