Description

Originally designed to cut Tête de Moine cheese quickly and in large quantities, the girolle has now become an indispensable kitchen utensil for cheese...and/or chocolate lovers. This ingenious instrument can be used to scrape a Tête de Moine to produce magnificent cheese flowers also known as "girolles", "frisettes" or "chanterelle".

Tête de moine can be replaced by a hard cheese, such as compté, mimolette or tomme. Alternatively, replace the cheese with a thick piece of chocolate.

Maple wood tray, stainless steel moulder and non-slip teeth. Can be dismantled into 3 parts for easy cleaning. Supplied without cheese.

How does it work?

Cut the surface of the cheese to remove the rind. Remove the blade and plant the cheese on the spike, well in the center, and slide it onto the tray. The teeth are there to hold it in place. Replace the blade on top. And without forcing the cheese, you can grind and admire the chanterelles forming.
