Moulin Peugeot Palace 1874
Much more than a simple utensil, this mill, a masterpiece of French savoir-faire, is a piece of history.
Description
The Peugeot Palace pepper mill, created by Peugeot in 1874 and once gracing the finest tables, will appeal to lovers of fine objects and collectors of antique mills.
Its silver-plated steel knob, which regulates the fineness of the grind, enables precise adjustment: the tighter the knob, the finer the pepper.
Made from treated steel, the mechanism (which benefits from patented protection against corrosion) features a double row of helical teeth that guide the grains downwards and gently slice them, rather than crushing them, to reveal all the subtleties of the aromas.
Compact and easy to handle thanks to its 10 cm length, this pepper mill is also practical to fill: simply unscrew the knob on the top.
Certified by the square hallmark of quality I, it is silver-plated in accordance with the strictest standards of French law.
Recommendations for use:
- For optimum performance, we recommend using peppercorns with a diameter of 6 mm or less. The Peugeot mechanism is compatible with black, white and green peppers, as well as pink berries mixed with one of these peppers (max. 15%), and is also suitable for coriander seeds.
- Do not use the salt mill for pepper, nor the pepper mill for salt.
- Do not soak the mill or use detergent to clean it; use only a chamois designed for metals and silver on the silver side.
- Keep the filled mill away from heat, humidity and frost.
