Peugeot Silver Mill 1874
In 1874, at the height of the "golden age of cooking", Peugeot unveiled its first pepper mill, the Model Z, which graced the tables of the most prestigious banquets.
Today, for the pleasure of lovers of fine objects and history buffs, this emblematic model has been reissued in a modernized version.
Description
Since the 19th century, Peugeot mills, still made in France, have been prized by gourmet connoisseurs for their finesse, sturdiness and innovative character.
A true masterpiece of silversmithing, the reissue of the famous 1874 model features the famous Peugeot mechanism, guaranteeing perfect grinding.
Its meticulous design includes a reservoir that's easy to fill by unscrewing the knob on top, as well as an excellent grip thanks to its compact 10 cm size; the same knob also allows grain grind to be adjusted according to its tightness.
Made from the highest quality silver-plated metal, certified by the Quality I square hallmark, the Mignonnette mill reflects the excellence of French craftsmanship.
Instructions for use:
- For optimum performance, we recommend using peppercorns with a diameter of 6 mm or less. The Peugeot mechanism is compatible with black, white and green peppers, as well as pink berries mixed with one of these peppers (max. 15%), and is also suitable for coriander seeds.
- Do not use the salt mill for pepper, nor the pepper mill for salt.
- Do not soak the mill or use detergent to clean it; use only a chamois designed for metals and silver.
- Keep the filled mill away from heat, humidity and frost.
