42 card tricks

42 Card Tricks is a small box of illustrated cards, one per trick, for learning magic with an ordinary deck of cards. Each card explains a trick step by step, with a drawing: the seventh card, the clock, the three jacks, the turned-over cards, the switch. Tricks for beginners, easy to remember and effective.

The box is published by Marc Vidal, a publisher based in Brunoy, near Paris, who produces small boxes of old-style illustrated cards. Printed in France. The deck of cards is not included.

Rehearse a trick in front of a mirror until the moves flow, and perform it only once: a trick done twice in a row gets found out. Start with the counting tricks, which need no sleight of hand, before moving on to those that call for dexterity.
