Floats for Jeunet night lights x12

Twelve replacement floats for Jeunet night lights, the bedside oil lamp made in France since 1838. The float is the part that carries the wick on the surface of the oil; without it, the night light does not work.

Each float is a cork disc pierced in the centre and topped with a metal plate, with a small tab for picking it up. The cork floats, the metal holds the wick upright. Composition: cork and metal, made in France. The box also contains a small pair of tweezers for fitting the wick.

Lay the float flat on the layer of oil floating on the water in the glass, push a wick into the central hole and light it. The float lasts much longer than the wick: change it when the cork has become soaked. The wicks are sold separately, in packs of 20.
