Duroplast rotary cross switch

A surface-mounted rotary cross switch (intermediate switch) in white duroplast. It is the model you install when the same light is controlled from three or more places: it sits between two ordinary two-way switches, in a corridor or on a landing. The round knob turns a quarter turn.

Housing and knob are moulded in duroplast, a hard resin that is stable in heat. Specifications: 16 A, 250 V, IP 20, indoor use. It is made by THPG, the German manufacturer of retro-style fittings.

It is fitted on the surface, often with a fabric cable and its cable clips. On an uneven wall or a flammable support (panelling, beam), fit a base plate in between. Wire it with the power off; if in doubt, leave the fitting to an electrician.
