Round black bakelite cover plate

A round cover plate in black bakelite, the plate that surrounds a flush-mounted switch or socket from the THPG range. Round, it gives the look of the switches of old: a black disc on the wall, with the lever or the button in the middle.

Moulded black bakelite, 8 cm outer diameter, 5 cm opening with four notches to hold the mechanism in place. Same height as the bakelite and duroplast series, so it fits either; the porcelain series do not suit.

It goes on over the mechanism once that is screwed into its flush box. A damp cloth is all it needs. Round or square is a question of wall: round sits well on an old render or exposed stone, where the corners of a square plate show more.
