Barandello green fabric by the metre

Barandello green fabric by the metre, a fine pink floral print on a green ground. Here the pattern covers the full width, without bands: this is the version to use all over, for a tablecloth, a bedspread, curtains or a skirt.

Cotton cloth, 100% cotton, 152 cm wide, sold in lengths of 1 m x 1.52 m. Barandello is a Provençal design by Les Olivades, printed in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès; the cloth is denser than a percale and holds its shape well.

Everyday care: wash at 40 °C, no chlorine bleach, no tumble dryer, iron on a medium setting. Allow for shrinkage of 2 to 3% on the first wash when taking measurements before cutting.

Prints of this kind descend from the indiennes, the printed cottons that arrived in Marseille in the 17th century and were later produced in Provence.
