Bonis stripes yellow fabric by the metre is a cotton percale printed in bands, in the tradition of Provençal indiennes (the printed cottons of Provence): friezes of palmettes and small flowers, bands of orange and green paisley motifs on a straw yellow ground. The design runs across the width; bear this in mind when cutting.

100% cotton percale, 152 cm wide, sold by the metre in one-metre lengths across the full 1.52 m width. Percale is a cloth of fine, tightly woven threads, smoother and lighter than standard cotton cloth: it suits tablecloths, table runners and light curtains.

Place the bands along the length of a tablecloth or the height of a curtain; for a table runner, cut along one frieze. Wash the length before cutting, then machine wash at 30 or 40 °C and iron on the reverse.
