Description
This spice mix for hot apple juice goes into a litre of juice heated gently, at one spoonful per litre. It makes a sweet, spiced drink with no alcohol, the one served to children at the Christmas markets in Germany and Austria under the name Kinderpunsch.
The metal tin holds 180 g of a blend of sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. No bag to steep and no pieces to strain out: the mix dissolves in the hot liquid.
The same mix works for mulled wine, measured to taste since it already contains sugar, or in a pot of black tea. Heat without boiling, to keep the aroma of the spices. Once the tin is open, close it well and keep it dry.
