Wooden handle and 12 cm serrated blade.

A small La Fourmi bread knife, with a 12 cm serrated blade and a wooden handle. It is the size of a table knife: it cuts a baguette, bread rolls or one slice at a time, without taking up drawer space like a large bread knife.

The blade is stainless steel, with wide teeth, marked La Fourmi France. The wooden handle is held by two rivets. It is made in France.

Like any knife with a wooden handle, it does not go in the dishwasher: hand wash and dry it straight away, otherwise the wood turns grey and splits. A serrated blade cannot be sharpened at home, but it keeps its bite for a long time because the teeth work by sawing.

Kept next to the bread board, it gets used every day.
