Genuine red sailor pompom

This ornament, which has been worn on sailors' berets since the second half of the 19th century, was given a reputation for good luck by the sailors themselves: these inventive characters had found a way to approach young girls in the various ports they visited.

This pompom is held in place by a pin system, so you can hang it wherever you like, whether traditionally on a headdress, or in a more original way on a shirt, a sailor's hat or the lapel of a jacket.
