This is a very old model from the beginning of the 20th century that was worn by the tile workers on the roofs of houses, the TUILIERES, hence the name TUILIERES. This model was also worn by the wine growers during the harvest.
In the 70's, it was adopted by PICASSO who often wore them.

This model is still hand-sewn in Mauléon, the town where it was born, and the fabric is also from the region.
