Seagull mobile

Hang this wooden seagull from the ceiling or in front of a window, then give the small red ball a gentle tug: the wings beat in a smooth, lifelike motion. The illusion of flight is instant, and the object never quite loses its magic.

With a 38 cm (15 in) wingspan and a 32 cm (12.5 in) body, it fills a space without crowding it. It works just as well in a child's bedroom as in a living room, a bathroom, or a home by the sea.

Decorative and playful in equal measure, this is the kind of object people notice, reach out to touch, and end up giving as a gift to anyone who appreciates things that are simple and well made.
