Opinel No. 08 Limited Edition Damascus & Ziricote Knife

This edition of the No. 08 is limited to 5,000 pieces and brings together two exceptional materials: Ziricote, a wood from Central America, and Damasteel® stainless damascus steel. It is not your everyday Opinel. It was designed as a piece in its own right.

The Ziricote handle shows natural grain, shifts in tone and patterns you won't find twice. The color of the wood changes from one knife to the next, so every example is unique and the exact look can't be predicted. A anthracite ferrule with a titanium finish frames the wood without competing with it.

The blade is made of damascus steel produced by powder metallurgy, and shows the "Sparse Twist™" pattern.

It comes in an oak box closed with a leather tie, together with a black lambskin sheath and its instruction leaflet. The presentation is careful enough to make it a fine gift, or a good addition to an Opinel collection.
