Description
Olibet biscuits come from Bordeaux, where biscuit-making goes back a long way. Around 1840, Jean-Honoré Olibet (1817-1891) set up in the Saint-Pierre district and baked dry biscuits by hand. They kept for months and travelled well, which made them especially useful to sailors.
Today the shortbread comes in three flavours. The recipe is made with butter and the texture is crisp. Have them with coffee or tea, or just because.
Choose from three flavours
- Vanilla: a gentle vanilla note with a hint of caramel.
- Lemon: fresh and slightly tangy, from natural lemon flavouring.
- Chocolate: a rich recipe made with chocolate chips and cocoa powder.
Made in France and sold in a 140 g (4.9 oz) box. Contains gluten, milk and eggs; the chocolate version also contains soy. May contain traces of tree nuts, mustard and sesame.
