Dozuki Extra-Fine Pull Saw
Description
The extra-fine Dozuki leaves a 0.3 mm kerf, barely wider than a mechanical pencil line. Wood loss beyond the mark is almost nothing, and joints fit on the first pass without sanding or adjustment. This is the saw you reach for when the cut has to be right the first time.
The blade is SK-85 steel, a Japanese tool steel known for its hardness and edge retention. The tri-faceted teeth, induction-hardened, slice cleanly across and with the grain and hold up to compression far better than conventional teeth. The reinforced spine keeps the blade rigid at full depth: no flex, even on deeper cuts.
Like all Japanese saws, the Dozuki cuts on the pull stroke. The motion feels natural, requires less effort, and gives you noticeably more control over the line than a Western push saw. For flooring, frames, lutherie, or any joinery where precision is non-negotiable, that difference is immediate.
Two blade lengths to suit the work at hand: 150 mm at 24 TPI for precision cuts in tight spaces, 240 mm at 22 TPI for wider stock.
