Duralex makes this measuring glass in France in its own workshops, in a glassmaking tradition that proved itself long before labels came along. The tempered glass they produce withstands knocks far better than ordinary glass, which makes a real difference to the lifespan of a kitchen utensil used several times a day.

The glass takes cold preparations as well as hot liquids, and goes in the microwave: you can heat a sauce or a stock directly in the measuring glass, without switching containers along the way.

Compared with a plastic equivalent, glass is immediately easier to read: the graduations stay sharp, the material does not yellow, and it holds no odours.
