Kosmos oil lamp glass Ø 40 mm

A Kosmos-type oil lamp glass, 40 mm in diameter at the base, for 10-line Kosmos burners. It is the chimney that sits over the burner: it shields the flame from draughts and creates the draw that makes it rise straight and bright.

It is in borosilicate glass, made in Europe, a glass that withstands heat and changes in temperature. Its shape is the Kosmos one: bulging base, constriction, then straight tube. That constriction is what stretches the flame and gives more light.

Before ordering, check that the burner gallery is indeed 40 mm and that the lamp takes a Kosmos glass, not a straight or Vienna-type one. Clean it cold, in hot soapy water, and dry it well before lighting again.
