Description
The brass wire suede brush brings the nap back up on suede, nubuck and split leather: shoes, ankle boots, bags, jackets. The brass lifts flattened nap and clears away dust and dry mud, where an ordinary bristle brush just slides over the surface.
The body is untreated beech, with a short handle. The bristles are brass wire, a metal softer than steel, which works the surface of the suede without tearing it. At the end of the head, a row of studs gets into the seams and along the soles.
Brush dry, without pressing, in one direction then the other to lift the nap, and finish with the grain to even out the colour. On an ingrained stain, use a suede eraser first, then the brush. Keep it off smooth leather, which the brass would scratch.
