Anduze pottery candle
Description
A candle poured into a small terracotta Anduze vase, with three wicks, for the garden table or indoors. Large capacity: it burns for around 70 hours. Once the wax is finished, the pot remains and serves as a planter cover.
The container takes the shape of the Anduze vase, the garden pot from the Cévennes that has been made for four centuries: flared neck, foot, and a medallion in relief on the belly. It measures 14 cm high and 11.5 cm in diameter. It comes in natural unglazed terracotta, green glaze or honey glaze. Made in France.
With three wicks, light all three every time, so the wax melts across the whole surface and does not tunnel. Trim the wicks to half a centimetre before each lighting. Outdoors, shelter it from the wind, which makes the flame smoke.
