White duroplast surface-mounted socket 2P+E

This white Duroplast 2P+T wall outlet (two poles plus earth) is a surface-mounted socket that fits directly on the wall, with no recess or box to set in: to add a power socket in a cellar, a workshop or a utility room without opening up the walls. It keeps the round, domed shape of old-style fittings.

The housing is in white Duroplast, a hard and stable thermosetting resin, with screw terminals and a built-in shutter that closes the holes when nothing is plugged in. 16 A at 250 V, IP 20 rating, 62 mm in diameter and 49 mm deep off the wall. Made by THPG, the German manufacturer of classic-style electrical fittings.

Wire it with the power off, then screw the housing onto its support; on a wooden wall, fit a base plate in between. The IP 20 rating keeps it for dry rooms.
