Rolling pin with handles

A classic rolling pin with handles, in beech wood, for rolling out tart pastry, shortcrust, pizza dough or sugar paste. The handles turn independently of the cylinder, so you can roll with an even motion without straining your wrists.

The cylinder measures 24 cm long and 5.5 cm across, a size that covers a family-sized tart and fits in a drawer. Beech is a hard, close-grained wood that leaves no smell on the dough.

Flour it lightly before use. Afterwards, scrape it dry, wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry standing up. No dishwasher: the wood would swell and eventually split. Over time the beech darkens a little, which is normal.
