Batiste Ampo blue-black fabric by the metre, a small beige Provençal print scattered over a blue-black ground. The pattern is dense and discreet, which makes it easy to wear as a shirt or a scarf, and easy to match in household linen.

This is a cotton batiste, 100% cotton, 150 cm wide, sold in lengths of 1 m x 1.50 m. Batiste is a fine, light fabric, softer than a percale: it is the cloth of neckerchiefs and summer shirts. The Ampo design is a Les Olivades pattern, printed in Saint-Étienne-du-Grès.

A fabric this fine is sewn with a fine needle and a light thread. Wash it at 40 °C, inside out, without a tumble dryer, and iron it while still slightly damp on a medium setting. A first wash before cutting avoids any shrinkage surprises.
