Description
An olive wood spoon of about 30 cm, the one that stays permanently next to the stove. Use it to stir a daube, a ratatouille or a simmering jam, to taste as you cook, and to serve at the table without changing utensil.
Olive is one of the hardest woods found in the kitchen. Its high oil content makes it water-repellent: it absorbs little liquid and few odours. The bowl is 6 cm wide. Handmade in France, each spoon with its own grain.
The wood does not get hot in the hand and does not scratch the bottom of pans. After use, rinse it in hot water and dry it by hand; the dishwasher is out of the question. Over the years it takes on a patina and darkens a little; a little oil from time to time is all it needs.
