Circus puzzle, 1000 pieces

This 1000-piece puzzle assembles a collage of old circus posters: red and white striped big top, ringmaster in a top hat, lion, sea lion balancing on its ball, trapeze artists and fairground lettering. A puzzle for adults and older children, slow to build, with plenty of detail to read once finished.

It is published by Cavallini & Co., a house known for its papers reproducing archive images. Assembled, it measures 55 x 70 cm. It comes in a cardboard tube 12 cm in diameter and 26 cm tall, with a small muslin bag for the pieces and a miniature poster to use as a guide.

The tube takes up less room than a flat box. Sort the edges and the lettering first, and use the poster for the busy areas.
