Square bottle 1L

The square 1 litre bottle is an old-style aluminium hiking flask: a flat, faceted body, a lever-action swing top and a carabiner for clipping it to a bag. It is very light for its capacity, and its flat shape sits well in a rucksack.

It is made of lacquered aluminium, in red, blue or light grey; the colour sent depends on what is in stock at the time. The swing top closes onto a seal, like a lemonade bottle, and opens with one hand.

Rinse it with hot water before first use and after each outing, and leave the neck open so it dries. No dishwasher for lacquered aluminium, and no fizzy drinks or acidic juice left inside for days on end. The seal is the part that wears out first; keep an eye on it.
