Mohair baby blanket

The mohair baby blanket is a small 65 x 100 cm blanket, the size of a cradle, a pram or a Moses basket. Warm without being heavy, it covers a newborn without weighing them down.

It is woven in Spain by a long-established mill, in 100% mohair. Mohair is the hair of the angora goat: a long fibre, highly insulating and very light.

It comes in plain white, blue or pink, and in blue or pink checks. A mohair blanket sheds a little at first, which is normal. Brush it now and then in the direction of the pile, air it rather than washing it, and when it does need cleaning, take it to the dry cleaner. Never the washing machine or the tumble dryer.

Out of season, store it folded in a cover, away from moths.
