Casting plaster refill

A plaster refill for figurine casting kits: 800 g of white plaster in a bag, enough to cast about six figurines in the latex moulds. When the bag from the kit runs out, carry on with this one: the moulds can be used again.

It is a fine white casting plaster, which sets quickly and takes paint well once dry. Made in France by Mako Moulages, the brand behind the figurine casting kits.

Pour the water into a container, then sprinkle in the plaster, and mix without whisking so as not to make bubbles. The mix should pour like thick cream; fill the mould, tap it, and wait until it is properly hard before taking it out of the mould. Leave it to dry for another day before painting. Leftover plaster goes in the bin, never down the sink.
