Tooth powder

A siwak toothpaste powder with menthol, in a 45 g jar. It replaces the tube: a powder you pick up on the tip of a damp brush, and which foams little. Siwak is the root of a shrub from Africa and the Middle East, Salvadora persica, whose twigs have been chewed for centuries to clean the teeth.

The powder combines ground siwak with menthol, which gives the fresh feel in the mouth. The 45 g jar lasts several weeks at two brushings a day, then refills from the 100 g bag sold separately.

Wet the brush, shake it, dip it in the powder, brush as usual and rinse. It takes a few days to get used to the lack of foam. To keep the powder dry, avoid dipping a dripping brush into the jar.
